Section 1: Uploading Avatars

To upload your avatar simply visit the Public Identity section of your Settings & Profile page. Once on this page you will need to click on the button titled 'Change Avatar', you will then be presented with a popup dialog allowing you to upload your avatar. Once done click on "OK".

You may also submit your avatar through the normal submission process, using the Category Customization > Icons > Avatar.

The size requirement for avatar is 50 pixles by 50 pixles(50x50)and the file size has to be less than 15 Kb)

To remove your avatar visit the Public Identity section of your Edit Settings & Profile page. Once on this page you will need to click on the link entitled 'Reset Your Avatar' and then confirm this change. Once done click on "OK".

Section 2: Journal CSS

This is done by using the CSS feature. To use CSS in your journal you will first need to have a Subscription to deviantART or be a Senior member.

To add CSS to your journal you will need to click on the 'Update Journal' link, doing so will take you to your journal update page. Next you will need to click on the link entitled 'Add CSS...' under the heading CSS Beta, which is located below the listening to, reading, watching fields. Clicking this link will drop down the field to enter your CSS code in to. After you're finished adding in your CSS code to your journal and have filled in all other fields you wish to apply your new style to, you will need to click on 'Update' to apply all changes.

Please be advised since CSS is an outside coding source the Help Desk will not be offering CSS support. If you have questions regarding CSS, please feel free to ask someone in the programing forum section.

Section 3: Posting/Replying To Comments

To post comments, simply type up your comment in any of the devious thought(s) fields provided throughout the site, once done click on "Send" and your comment will be added.

If someone has left a comment on your profile page or deviation click the button that says "Reply" and type your message in the text field that comes up under the persons comment.

Section 4: Adding Images To Your Favorites

To add an image to your favorites simply view the deviation which you wish to add , and click the 'Add to Favourites" link located to the left of the deviation. The deviation will then be added to your favourites.

To remove a favourite view the deviation again, and click on the 'Remove Favourite' link located to the left of the deviation. The deviation will then be removed from your favourites.

Section 5: Adding People To Your Watch/Friends List

To add someone to your deviantWATCH go to their user page and click on the 'Watch this Deviant' link. The deviantWATCH is a system that allows you to keep track of multiple deviants. The deviantWATCH can notify you via your message centre of new deviations, scraps, journals and polls created by the deviants on your watch list.

You can manage your deviantWATCH by visiting your Message Centre. Once there the link will be on the right hand column, either displayed as 'Manage My Friends' or 'Manage Friends' depending on whether you are under the Messages tab or deviantWATCH tab; either one will take you there.

In your deviantWATCH listing you will notice several check boxes, the following describes what each of these check boxes do. Please note that for any changes to take effect you must click on the 'Update' button, located at the bottom of the pages, after making any changes.

ill forward my reply to you ^_^ and im thinking about having this like a daily or weekly issue (like a magazine) to keep it interesting

and i try and help everyone i can. sometimes i click on the today button to see whos new and send a note mentioning welcome to DA and let them know if they need any help they can come to me.

That is a good idea.... I am pretty good at finding my way around DA and I know how to most of the stuff here on DA. So I should be fine, lol....

i thaught i was seeing things at first lol. I wish i knew who donated a subscription so i can thank them personaly an give them credit in the journals.

you might want to add size and file format requirements to the avatar question. otherwise, it looks awesome, guys!
